Shower hoses essentially comprise of a plastic hose

and metal connectors, made of brass or stainless

steel. In case the connectors are made of brass, the

surfaces are usually chrome-plated by means of

various galvanic process stages.

For the use and application of the product the

respective national provisions at the place of use

apply, in Germany for example the building codes of

the federal states and the corresponding national

specifications.

Following standards apply to shower hoses to prove

product safety:

EN 1113:2015: Sanitary tapware – Shower hoses for

sanitary tapware for water supply systems of type 1

and type 2

Shower hoses are the hoses which connect hand

showers to plumbing fixtures for water supply. They

are used for showers and bathtubs.
