The loft ladders declared in this EPD are EI2-30 no. 8-87, EI2-30 no. 8-110, EI2-30 no. 8-120, EI2-60 no. 7-87, EI2-60 no. 7-110 and EI260 no. 7-120.
They are used as access to attic spaces and roof areas in homes or buildings. The ladders are designed to be space-saving, folding up and being stored behind a hatch mounted on the ceiling to free up floor space when not in use. They offer convenient access for storage or attic inspections, enabling efficient use of available space. The loft ladders are primarily made of pine wood, metal parts, mineral components and smaller plastic components. The ladders are insulated with 50 mm of insulation, resulting in U-values in the range of 0.754-0,78 W/m²·K. The hatch is rebate jointed with a sealing strip both on the rebate and the top of the hatch, which provides an exceptionally tight loft ladder.
EI2-30 and EI2-60 are fire-resistance classifications for the loft ladders, indicating that they maintain both integrity (E) and insulation (I) for 30 and 60 minutes respectively under standard fire exposure.
